What Genus Insight Analysis does
- Each analysis costs 4 Soul Crystals of that family (or bound wildcards) and 1,000 Kinah.
- It rerolls the stats on every unlocked Insight slot for that family.
- Higher Insight levels unlock more slots and raise the chance of high-grade stats. Sources disagree on the top level (9 slots vs level 10), so we don't state an exact cap.
- You can lock slots you want to keep, but the cost climbs fast. One table lists 8 crystals + 2,000 Kinah with 1 lock, up to 396 crystals + 99,000 Kinah with 8 locks.

There's no single Soul Crystal farming spot. The closest thing to a route is clearing Hidden Cubes, which our interactive map tracks with saved progress. Monster-family drop spots are still being mapped, and we'll add a map layer once we have reliable locations.
Which to spend first
- Collect pets first. Every milestone is 100 wildcard crystals, which is far more than early farming gives.
- Raise Genus Insight levels before you start rerolling, so each roll has more slots and better odds.
- Spend family crystals (Fera, Natura, Varian, Cogni) on their own families; keep the bound wildcards for Special.
- Only lock slots once you hit a stat you'd be happy keeping long-term. Locks get expensive quickly.
Not a gear material
If you're trying to upgrade weapons or armor, Soul Crystals won't help. Gear goes through enhancement and Soul Binding, and your skills scale through Arcana and the Daevanion board.
Global vs Korea/Taiwan
Global pets currently cap at level 3, while Korea and Taiwan are at level 5. KR also announced account-wide Genus Insight and lower pet requirements. Those changes are KR/TW-only for now, so a KR guide may quote costs that don't match global.
