What is a Spacetime Rift?
Spacetime Rifts are temporary portals that appear on your own faction's maps and lead into the other faction's territory — Elyos come out in Altgard-side zones, Asmodians in Verteron-side zones. It is the only regular way to reach enemy-side Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and field bosses, and the main source of open-world PvP while levelling.

Daylight saving
The server clock (GMT+9) has no daylight saving, so local times move one hour earlier when Europe changes clocks on October 25 and the US on November 1, 2026. The live timer above adjusts automatically.
How to find and enter a rift
- Before the opening, pick up every Spacetime Rift quest from your faction's quest givers — you can finish several in one trip.
- When the timer hits zero, open your world map: active portals show up as rift markers in your faction's zones.
- Fly or run to the nearest portal and enter within 10 minutes. A portal holds roughly 300 players; when it fills, another one appears somewhere else.
- Only portals with a green quest marker count for the first rift quest, which completes the moment you step through.
- Inside, plant your own Kisk somewhere safe so you can respawn in enemy territory instead of being sent home.
What to do inside
- Clear the 7 Spacetime Rift quests for your faction.
- Run the enemy-side Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds — quick, and a good source of Daevanion Crystals.
- Hunt enemy-faction field bosses for gear, skins, Kinah and Abyss Points.
- Collect monsters that only live in enemy territory for your Genus Insight log.
- Stay away from enemy settlements: their guards hit hard enough to one-shot most players.
Why other timers disagree
Korea and Taiwan run the same event at different hours (02:00, 05:00 … KST), and several English sites still count down to the Korean schedule — which is one hour off for global players. Our timer is checked against the live global servers and lets you switch to KR or TW times if you play there.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I find the Spacetime Rift in Aion 2?+
Rift portals spawn on your own faction's open-world maps when the timer reaches zero. Open the world map during the 10-minute window and look for rift markers; Elyos portals lead to Asmodian-side zones and vice versa.
How do I activate the Spacetime Rift quest?+
Accept the Spacetime Rift quests from your faction's quest NPCs, then enter a portal that shows a green quest marker while it is open. The first quest completes as soon as you pass through.
How long does a Spacetime Rift stay open?+
Portals accept new players for 10 minutes after each opening. Once inside, you can stay in enemy territory for about an hour.
Are NA and EU rift times different?+
No. Both regions use one global schedule on a GMT+9 server clock, so the rift opens at the same moment worldwide — only your local clock time differs.
Can I get a notification before the rift opens?+
Yes — press Enable alerts above and keep the tab open in the background, or download the calendar file so your phone reminds you 5 minutes before every opening.
Is Aion 2 in maintenance today?+
Weekly maintenance is listed on our server status page, together with the server list and transfer rules.
