Is a DPS meter allowed in Aion 2?

Not third-party ones. NCSOFT has not approved any outside damage meter, and its Operation Policies list use of unauthorized programs as a violation that can end in an integrated account ban. The built-in Combat Analysis window (Ctrl+X) is the safe, official way to see your own damage.

NCSOFT has not approved any third-party DPS meter for Aion 2. The AION2 Operation Policies list use of unauthorized programs, and tampering with the client, as violations that can lead to an integrated account ban. The global team has not published a notice that names damage meters specifically, so nobody can honestly promise a given tool is safe or that it is banned. In October 2026 NCSOFT restricted thousands of accounts for botting, macro farming and real-money trading, which shows enforcement is active. The safe route is the official Combat Analysis window (Ctrl+X on PC), which tracks your own DPS, crits and damage per skill. To compare builds, test on a training dummy or use the free estimator at aion2atlas.app. We do not offer or link any third-party meter.
  • No third-party meter is approved by NCSOFT
  • Unauthorized programs can mean an integrated account ban
  • Global has no notice naming damage meters specifically
  • Official option: Combat Analysis, Ctrl+X on PC
  • Appeals: 15 days from the sanction date

What the official rules say

The only authoritative source is NCSOFT's own policy. The AION2 Operation Policies list Use of Unauthorized Programs as a violation, and they define such programs as ones that bypass technical protection or interfere with normal operation of the game. Modifying or tampering with client or server programs is listed as well. Penalties for these violations can go up to an integrated account ban.

What the policy does not do, as far as we can verify, is name "damage meters" as a category. NCSOFT has not published a global statement either allowing or banning them. In Korea, the developers said in 2025 they were working on an official personal meter, and in May 2026 they warned they would block in-game data collection and act against sites that share players' damage logs without consent. Those are Korean statements reported by Korean media, not global policy, so treat them as a signal of direction rather than a rule.

What counts as a third-party program

In general terms, anything that is not part of the official client and that touches the running game counts as a risk. The policy's wording points at programs that read or alter game data, hook into the client, automate input, or get around the game's protection. The key test is not what the tool is called or what it is for, but whether it interacts with the game outside what NCSOFT provides.

  • Programs that read game memory or intercept game network traffic.
  • Programs that modify, inject into or patch the client.
  • Bots and macros that automate play.
  • Anything tied to real-money trading of items or currency.

We do not offer, name, link or explain how to use any of these. If a tool does any of the above, the account risk is yours.

Nobody can promise a third-party tool is safe

If someone tells you a meter is "fine", ask where the official statement is. NCSOFT has not given one. Unauthorized-program violations can be treated as an integrated account ban, which affects your whole NC account. If you receive a sanction notice, the appeal window is 15 days from the date of the sanction, via NCSOFT support.

Safe ways to measure your damage

  1. Use Combat Analysis. Press Ctrl+X on PC, or open the main menu and choose Content, then Combat Analysis. It shows your own DPS, total damage, crits and per-skill damage, and keeps a history. It does not rank your party.
  2. Test the same way every time. Same target, same fight length (at least 60 seconds), one change at a time, three runs per setup. A 2 to 3% gap is usually noise.
  3. Use the on-site estimator. The DPS calculator models your rotation from skill potency, cast time, cooldown, Combat Speed, Cooldown Reduction and crit, so you can ask what-if questions before you spend resources.
  4. Plan your stats. Stat priorities and rotations for every class are on the build pages, and you can plan Cooldown, Combat Speed and Crit nodes in the Daevanion board planner.

Why you rarely need an outside meter

Most players search for a meter to answer two questions: is my build good, and which skill is carrying me? The per-skill breakdown in Combat Analysis answers both. What it can't do is compare you against other players, and that is a trade-off worth accepting for an account you've invested time in.

Frequently asked questions

Is a DPS meter allowed in Aion 2?+

No third-party meter is approved by NCSOFT. The official Operation Policies ban unauthorized programs and client tampering. The built-in Combat Analysis window is allowed because it is part of the game.

Can I get banned for using a DPS meter in Aion 2?+

It is possible. Unauthorized programs are a bannable violation, with penalties up to an integrated account ban. NCSOFT has not published a global notice naming damage meters, so nobody can promise you are safe.

Does Aion 2 have a built-in DPS meter?+

Yes, for your own character. Press Ctrl+X on PC to open Combat Analysis. It shows DPS, total damage, crits and damage per skill. It does not show other players.

Can I see my party's DPS in Aion 2?+

Not with the official tool, which tracks only your own character. Ask party members to share their own Combat Analysis screen if you want to compare.

Has NCSOFT banned accounts recently?+

Yes. In October 2026 NCSOFT announced restrictions on thousands of accounts on the global service, citing botting, macro-based gold farming and real-money trading. Those notices describe the category of unauthorized programs rather than listing specific software.

What should I do if my account is restricted?+

Check whether it is a sanction or a temporary security lock, which NCSOFT says is not a penalty. For a sanction you have 15 days from the date to appeal through NCSOFT support, with your account details and the notice.

How can I compare two builds safely?+

Run each setup on a training dummy with Combat Analysis in Single-Target mode, same fight length, three runs each. For quick what-ifs, use the free estimator at /dps-meter/ on aion2atlas.app.
