How do Daevanion boards work in Aion 2?

Daevanion boards are Aion 2's permanent progression grids. Each class has boards named after the Empyrean Lords; each is a square grid (11×11 for the first three boards) with the start node in the centre. You spend Daevanion Crystals to activate nodes, and each node must touch an already-active node, so you always build a connected path outward. Nodes give flat stats, percentage stats in the corners, or +1 level to a specific skill. On the global launch you unlock Nezekan at level 12, Zikel at 20, Vaizel at 30, Triniel at 40 and the PvP board Azphel at 45.
  • 5 boards on global: Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel, Triniel, Azphel
  • Node costs: 1 (stat) · 2 (passive skill) · 3 (active skill) · 4 (major stat)
  • Maxing all four general boards costs 570 crystals; Azphel costs 232 Battle Crystals
  • Korea/Taiwan have 3 extra boards: Ariel, Marchutan, Yustiel

The board layout

On the global client, Nezekan, Zikel and Vaizel are 11×11 grids with 88 nodes around the start, Triniel is a larger 13×13 grid with 116, and the PvP board Azphel is 15×15 with 152. Gaps between nodes form corridors, so the route matters. The orange nodes sit in the corners and carry the biggest percentage bonuses — most plans are really about which corners you reach first.

ColourWhat it givesCostOn an 11×11 board
GreyFlat stat (Attack +5, Defense +50, Critical Hit +10, Max HP +100 …)162
Green+1 level to a passive skill210
Blue+1 level to an active skill (one per active skill)312
OrangeMajor % stat in the corners (e.g. Combat Speed +2.5%)44

A full 11×11 board costs 134 crystals, Triniel costs 168, so maxing all four general boards takes 570 Daevanion Crystals. Every class gets the same 22 skill nodes per board (10 passive, 12 active) — but which skill sits where differs by class, which is why each class has its own planner.

How to plan your crystals

  1. Path to the orange corners that match your role first — for damage dealers that usually means Cooldown Reduction and Combat Speed on Nezekan, Damage Boost on Zikel, Critical Damage Boost on Vaizel and Multi-Hit Chance on Triniel.
  2. Take the blue and green skill nodes that lie on the way, prioritising the skills in your rotation — extra skill levels unlock skill specialties.
  3. Spend leftovers on grey stats along the shortest route; there is no reason to fill a board completely before moving to the next one.
  4. Keep Battle Crystals for Azphel, which only matters once you PvP regularly.

Let the optimizer do it

Switch the planner to Optimizer, rank the stats you care about and press Auto-fill — it finds the route with the best value per crystal for the crystals you own. Mark specific nodes with ★ and press Cheapest path to connect them for the fewest crystals.

Where Daevanion Crystals come from

  • Regional quests while levelling
  • Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds
  • Trade shops such as the Shugo Festival and Nightmare shops
  • Battle Crystals for Azphel from the Abyss trade shop

Boards and skill levels can be reset, so experimenting is safe — but resetting costs time and resources in game, which is exactly why planning here first pays off.

Frequently asked questions

How many Daevanion boards are there in Aion 2?+

Five on the global launch: Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel, Triniel and the PvP board Azphel. Korean and Taiwanese servers also have Ariel, Marchutan and Yustiel; the planner shows them with a KR tag so you can preview them.

How many crystals does a full board cost?+

On the global client an 11×11 board (Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel) costs 134 Daevanion Crystals: 62 grey nodes at 1, 10 green at 2, 12 blue at 3 and 4 orange corners at 4. Triniel costs 168, so all four general boards cost 570. Azphel costs 232 Battle Crystals.

Which Daevanion nodes should I take first?+

Path to the orange edge nodes for your role first, collect skill nodes for your main rotation on the way, and fill grey stats last. The class build pages list the exact focus for PvE and PvP.

Can I reset my Daevanion board?+

Yes, boards and skill levels can be reset. Plan here first so you do not waste resetting resources on trial and error.

Do all classes have the same Daevanion board?+

Every class has the same board names, sizes and node counts, but the skill nodes — and where they sit — are class-specific. The PvP board Azphel and the KR-only boards are the same for everyone.

Why do Korean guides show bigger boards?+

Korea and Taiwan have expanded the general boards to 15×15 in later updates. The global client still uses the launch layout (11×11, Triniel 13×13), which is what this planner shows.

Why did my Daevanion points disappear? Did I break my character?+

Points spent on a board are not lost — they are locked into the nodes you activated. Open the board in game to see them, or reset the board to refund them.
