Each Founder's Pack tier reportedly includes a 30-day membership. Founder's Packs were how you got into the Advance Access servers, which are separate from the launch servers. See server status for why that matters.
First-week checklist
- Pick your faction first, because you can't change it. Our Elyos vs Asmodian page explains the differences (mostly story and looks).
- Pick a server in your region where your friends or legion play. See server status.
- Choose a class. Not sure? Take the class quiz or check the tier list.
- Set up OTP on your NC account before registering a new PC, to avoid the device registration error.
- Link Twitch and claim the free Twitch drops, including Customization Vouchers.
- Gather every node you pass. Essence Extraction unlocks around level 10.
- Learn the rhythm: daily reset at 07:00 UTC, weekly reset on Wednesday, and a Spacetime Rift every 3 hours (rift timer).
- Plan your Daevanion points with the board planner before you spend them.

Is Aion 2 free to play?＋
Yes. There's no box price and no required subscription. Founder's Packs ($24.99–$99.99), the Special Quai Membership ($14.99 per 30 days) and the Daeva Pass premium track are optional.
Is Aion 2 pay to win?＋
It's debated on Reddit. game8 reports that NCSOFT removed pay-to-win items aimed at PvP from the global version, but we couldn't confirm the details. The membership mainly sells convenience, such as Market purchasing and remote storage.
What platforms is Aion 2 on?＋
Windows PC only on global, through the NC PURPLE launcher or Steam. There's no Mac, console, Steam Deck or Epic version. Mobile exists only in Korea and Taiwan.
When did Aion 2 come out globally?＋
Advance Access for Founder's Pack owners opened September 30, 2026, and the full free-to-play launch was October 5, 2026. Korea and Taiwan launched on November 19, 2025.
What time did Aion 2 release?＋
Global servers opened at 13:00 UTC on October 5, 2026 (06:00 PDT, 15:00 CEST), after an 8-hour maintenance.
Is Aion 2 playable now?＋
Yes, global servers have been live since October 5. During weekly maintenance you can't log in. Check our [server status](/server-status/) page.
Do I need the membership to use the Market?＋
To buy from the Market, yes. Market purchasing and personal trading are listed as Special Quai Membership benefits. Everything else in the core game is playable without it.
What is the best class in Aion 2?＋
Tier lists disagree because they measure different things. The stable consensus: Gladiator is the best beginner and solo class, Assassin is a top PvP pick, and Templar and Cleric are the only pure tank and healer. See our [tier list](/tier-list/).
Which class in Aion 2 is best for solo play?＋
Gladiator and Spiritmaster are the usual picks. Gladiator is sturdy and simple, and Spiritmaster's spirits tank and heal for you. Cleric and Templar are slower solo.
Which class is better, Sorcerer or Elementalist?＋
Elementalist is another name some sites use for the Spiritmaster. Sorcerer brings burst damage and strong PvP. Spiritmaster is the safer solo farmer but weaker in PvP. Compare them in [builds](/builds/).
Is Aion 2 soloable?＋
Leveling to the global cap of 45 is very solo-friendly. Endgame content such as Expeditions, Transcendence and Sanctuary raids is built for groups, and several of those allow cross-faction matchmaking.
Does Aion 2 have a DPS meter?＋
We haven't found an official in-game DPS meter. Third-party parsers exist, but tools that read game data can break NCSOFT's terms of service and put your account at risk, so we don't offer one and can't vouch for any.
Does Aion 2 have dungeons?＋
Yes. Global has Daily Dungeons (14 entries a week), Expedition: Exploration, Nightmare, Transcendence, Sanctuary raids and the Ascension Trial, plus Sealed Dungeons in enemy territory that you reach through Spacetime Rifts.
How do I enter the Abyss in Aion 2?＋
The Abyss zone on global is Chaotic Lower Reshanta, which is endgame content for level 45 characters. Abyss time is limited and resets weekly. We haven't confirmed the exact unlock quest for global yet.
Is Aion 2 in maintenance right now?＋
Global maintenance has been landing on Wednesdays (for example, October 7 from 06:30 UTC for about 3.5 hours), but there's no fixed weekly slot yet. Check our [server status](/server-status/) page.
Can I change faction in Aion 2?＋
No. Your faction is tied to your server, and server transfers (from October 14) only move you between servers of the same faction.
How do I fix the device registration error?＋
Restart and update PURPLE, approve the device, remove old devices if you're at the 7-device limit, and set up OTP first. Full steps are in our [device registration guide](/guides/device-registration-error/).
Can I share my character creation preset?＋
Yes, through the official Style Shop website. At level 10 or higher, take an in-game snapshot with “Customization Info” ticked, upload it with “Register My Style”, and friends can use “Download Style” while logged in to their NC account. There's no short share code.
