Rotation damage estimator
Type your skills as relative numbers (tooltip damage %, or call your filler 100), then compare two stat setups. It simulates a simple priority rotation: biggest ready skill first, filler otherwise. It is a what-if calculator, not a parse of real fights.
| Skill | Potency | Cast (s) | Cooldown (s) | Remove |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Setup A
Estimated damage per second: 177
Total 21,263 over 120s
- Filler (e.g. basic attack)105× · 56%
- Short cooldown skill15× · 21%
- Big nuke5× · 24%
Setup B
Estimated damage per second: 179
Total 21,443 over 120s
- Filler (e.g. basic attack)104× · 55%
- Short cooldown skill16× · 22%
- Big nuke5× · 24%
Setup B deals about 0.8% more damage in this model.
Does Aion 2 have a DPS meter?
- Official meter: Combat Analysis, Ctrl+X on PC
- Shows your own DPS and per-skill damage, not party rankings
- Unauthorized programs can lead to an account ban
- Safe option: dummy tests + our rotation estimator
How to use Combat Analysis
- Press Ctrl+X (or main menu → Content → Combat Analysis).
- Pick a mode: Auto-Analysis starts and stops with combat, Single-Target tracks one enemy (best for bosses and dummies), Multi-Target totals everything you hit (best for AoE packs).
- Fight for at least 60 seconds so long cooldowns are counted fairly.
- Open the skill breakdown to see which skills deal your damage, how often they crit and how often they Multi-Hit.
- Use the history to compare runs before and after a gear, Arcana or Daevanion board change.
Test the same way every time
Same target, same fight length, buffs up at the start. One change at a time. A 2–3% difference between two pulls is usually noise, so run each setup three times.
Are third-party DPS meters allowed?
NCSOFT hasn't published a global statement that names damage meters, so be careful with anyone who tells you they're "fine" or "banned". Here's what the official rules actually say:
- The AION2 Operation Policies list Use of Unauthorized Programs as a violation punished with an integrated account ban. The policy defines these as programs that bypass technical protection or interfere with normal operation.
- Modifying or tampering with client or server programs is also listed.
- For violations where gains are hard to measure, NCSOFT says it may reset game data or restrict access to content or connection environments.
- In Korea, NCSOFT said in 2025 it was building an official personal meter to reduce player disputes, and in May 2026 developers warned they would block in-game data collection and take legal action against sites sharing players' damage logs without consent (KR statements, reported by Korean media).
Our take: a tool that reads game traffic or memory sits in the zone the rules prohibit, and the account risk is yours. That's why we don't offer, link or explain any of them. The built-in Combat Analysis covers most of what players use meters for.
How the estimator works
- You type each skill's potency (any consistent unit: tooltip %, or call your filler 100), cast time and cooldown.
- Combat Speed divides cast time: a 2 s cast at +100% takes 1 s. In the global client, Combat Speed is capped at +200%.
- Cooldown Reduction shortens cooldowns and is capped at 60%. Crit chance is capped at 50%. Both caps come from global client data.
- Crit damage and Damage Boost multiply every hit. The common figure of 1.5× crit damage in PvE is community-reported, not confirmed, and real Damage Boost has diminishing returns that this model ignores.
- The simulation casts your biggest ready skill, otherwise your filler, for the whole fight, and compares setup A with setup B.
Use it for what-if questions, such as "is 10% more Cooldown Reduction worth more than 10% Combat Speed for my rotation?", then confirm in game with Combat Analysis. Stat priorities per class are on the build pages, and the Sorcerer leveling build shows how a rotation changes as skills unlock.
Frequently asked questions
Does Aion 2 have a DPS meter?+
Yes. Combat Analysis (Ctrl+X on PC) shows your own DPS, total damage, crits and damage per skill. It doesn't show or rank other players.
Is NotMeter allowed in Aion 2?+
No third-party meter is approved by NCSOFT. The official rules ban unauthorized programs and client tampering, with penalties up to an integrated account ban. NCSOFT hasn't named specific meters on global, but using one is a risk to your account. We don't link or support any.
Can I get banned for using a DPS meter in Aion 2?+
It's possible. The Operation Policies list unauthorized programs as a bannable violation. We haven't seen a global announcement about meter bans specifically, so nobody can promise you're safe.
How do I open the damage meter in Aion 2?+
Press Ctrl+X, or open the main menu and choose Content → Combat Analysis. Pick Single-Target for bosses and dummies or Multi-Target for packs.
Can I see my party's DPS in Aion 2?+
Not with the official tool. Combat Analysis only tracks your own character. Ask party members to share their own screen if you want to compare.
How do I check which build does more damage?+
Hit a training dummy with Combat Analysis in Single-Target mode for the same length of time with each setup, three runs each. For quick what-ifs, use our rotation estimator on this page.
