How do Hidden Cubes work in Aion 2?

Hidden Cubes are treasure boxes hidden around Aion 2's open world. Red cubes need a Hidden Cube key and give better rewards; gold cubes are rarer and open without a key. Spawns rotate between set points, so our map shows all 2,811 possible spawn points in Verteron and Altgard with saved progress.

Hidden Cubes sit on ledges, rooftops and behind scenery in every open-world zone. Walk up and interact to open one. Guides describe two kinds: red cubes, which need a Key: Hidden Cube (Bound) and give the better rewards, and gold cubes, which are rarer, need no key and give less (this split is reported, not official). Keys come from quests, the Daeva Pass, Monoliths and login rewards. Rewards include Soul Crystals (one guide reports up to 1,000 from a single cube), Kinah and consumables. A cube doesn't always sit in the same spot: each zone has many possible spawn points and only some are active at a time. That's why counts differ between sites. Our [Hidden Cube map](/map/hidden-cube/) pins 2,811 possible points across Verteron and Altgard and lets you tick off the ones you've cleared.
  • Red cubes: key required, better loot (reported)
  • Gold cubes: rarer, no key (reported)
  • 2,811 spawn points on our map
  • Spawns rotate; not every point is live

Where to get Hidden Cube keys

  • Story and zone quests.
  • The Daeva Pass reward track.
  • Monoliths; our Monolith map lists them by zone.
  • Daily login rewards.

Keys are bound, so you can't buy them from other players. If you're short, open gold cubes and save keys for red ones you can reach without a long detour.

How to clear cubes efficiently

  1. Open our Hidden Cube map and choose a zone.
  2. Follow the pins in one area at a time; use Updrafts and wings for rooftop cubes.
  3. Click a pin to mark it opened. Progress saves in your browser, and a progress code moves it to another device.
  4. Skip empty spots: spawns rotate, so a missing cube means that point isn't live right now.
  5. Come back after the next reset and clear the area again.

Why sites show different cube counts

game8 lists 37 cubes in Altgard and 66 in Verteron, and says its list is incomplete. Our map shows 2,811 because it pins every possible spawn position from community map data, not unique cubes that are live at the same time. Both numbers are honest; they count different things.

What's inside

Cube rewards are random. Players most often mention Soul Crystals, Kinah and consumables. One guide reports up to 1,000 Soul Crystals from a single cube, which makes cubes one of the best daily Soul Crystal sources after pet milestones.
