Frequently asked questions
How many hidden cubes are there in Aion 2?+
NCSOFT has not published an official total. The map shows 2,811 known spawn points — 1,440 in Verteron and 1,371 in Altgard. Cubes rotate between these points, so only some hold a cube at any moment; smaller totals you see elsewhere (172, 275) count unique cube groups rather than every spawn point.
Why is a hidden cube missing from its spot?+
Cubes rotate between several possible spawn points, and once a player opens one it disappears for everyone until the next cycle. If a spot is empty, try again later or move on to the next one.
Do I need a key to open a hidden cube?+
Red cubes use a Hidden Key and give better rewards; the rarer gold cubes need no key. Keys come from certain quests, the season pass, Monolith content and daily login rewards.
What do hidden cubes give?+
Mostly crafting and upgrade materials such as Theostones, plus other random rewards. Red cubes are worth your keys; gold cubes are free bonus loot.
How do I find hidden cubes faster?+
Look up: ledges, rooftops, cliff faces and pillars hide most of them, and a few are underwater. Turn your sound on — cubes give off a faint shimmering chime when you are close.
