How do you transform into a pet in Aion 2?
- Insight Lv3 = 105 Pet Souls total
- 1 Empathy Candy = 300 seconds
- Regular pets only (no Black Dragon)
- Candies: Pet Collection milestones + Shugo Festival Shop
What pet transform does
Pet transform swaps your character model for one of your pets for a few minutes. It's mostly for fun and screenshots, but it has a practical side: in the Abyss or open-world PvP, a small critter draws less attention than a fully geared Daeva. Don't treat it as real stealth. It's a disguise, not invisibility. It's also a different thing from riding a pet as a mount.
Requirements
- A regular pet. Special pets such as the Black Dragon can't transform.
- That pet at Insight Level 3.
- The pet equipped.
- An Empathy Candy (Bound) in your bags.

How to transform, step by step
- Pick a regular pet you like the look of. This is the form you'll take.
- Feed it Pet Souls until it reaches Insight Level 3 (105 souls total).
- Equip that pet.
- Use an Empathy Candy (Bound) from your inventory.
- Enjoy 300 seconds as the pet, then use another candy if you want to stay transformed.

Free candy pipeline
The Shugo Festival minigames run every hour on the global servers. Playing them steadily for Centuryroot Tokens is the only repeatable candy source, so don't ignore the festival once you hit level 13. Our rift timer shows the next one.
Getting more pets (and more candy)
Since the big candy payouts are tied to how many pets you own, growing your collection is the real long-term plan. A few launch-window sources on global:
- Twitch drops. The October 7–9 campaign gives a pet (“Two”) at 4 hours of watch time, and the October 2–4 campaign gave a Mysterious Pet Chest. See our Twitch drops guide.
- Founder's Packs. The Ultimate pack includes the Black Dragon. It counts as a Special pet, so it's for riding and showing off, not transforming.
- Pet Insight progress. Leveling Insight on several regular pets gives you more transform options.
Transform vs mount: don't mix them up
Riding a pet and becoming a pet are two different systems. Riding is for getting around. Transforming replaces your character model for 300 seconds and costs a candy each time. If you only want to move faster, you don't need Insight Level 3 or any candy at all.
Using the transform in PvP
In the Abyss or during a Spacetime Rift, a small animal running past is easier to overlook than a Daeva with glowing wings. That can buy you a moment to slip past a camped road or reach a gathering node. Just remember that it's purely visual. Anyone who targets you still sees a player, and five minutes goes quickly, so save your candies for the moments that count.
