Aion 2 Genus Insight Guide: Analysis, Slots and Lock Costs

How does Genus Insight work in Aion 2?
Genus Insight is Aion 2's pet stat system. Each pet family (Fera, Natura, Cogni, Varian, plus Special) gives your character bonus stats. Taming and leveling pets raises the family's Insight level, which unlocks stat slots, and each analysis spends 4 Soul Crystals and 1,000 Kinah to reroll those slots.

How to raise Insight and reroll, step by step
- Tame new species from a family, using our pet map to find them.
- Feed Pet Souls to raise each pet's level; this adds Insight EXP to its family. See Pet Souls farming.
- Check the family's Insight level: more levels mean more stat slots and better roll odds.
- Run Genus Insight Analysis for 4 family crystals (or wildcards) and 1,000 Kinah to reroll every unlocked slot.
- When a slot rolls a stat you want long-term, lock it before the next analysis, and accept the higher cost.

We've only seen the first and last lock steps in a source we trust, so the table skips the middle rows rather than guess them. The curve is steep: a full lock costs about 100 plain rerolls' worth of crystals.
When to reroll and when to wait
- Wait while the family's Insight level is still climbing. Each new level adds a slot, and rerolling a half-open board wastes crystals.
- Reroll once you've stopped gaining levels for a while and have 100+ crystals of that type banked.
- Lock one or two great slots at most. Locking six or more is only worth it near the end.
- Keep wildcards for the Special family, which you can't farm from monsters. Our farming guide lists every source.
Global vs Korea/Taiwan
KR and TW pets reach level 5 and Korea has announced account-wide Genus Insight with lower pet requirements. Global is at level 3 with server-wide Insight. KR guides may quote costs or slot counts that don't apply to NA/EU yet.

One guide says Insight is shared by your characters on the same server. KR has announced account-wide Insight, which isn't on global yet.
How much does it cost to lock Genus Insight slots?＋
8 crystals and 2,000 Kinah for one lock, rising to 396 crystals and 99,000 Kinah for eight.
Which pet family should I level first?＋
The one whose stats your build uses most. If you're unsure, level the family you have the most pets in, since that's the cheapest Insight.
