What is the best Ranger skill priority and rotation in Aion 2?

A Ranger's damage comes from Deadshot, a three-stage charged shot that hits 35% harder while Precision is up. Marking Shot grants Precision (+300 Critical Hit for 7 seconds), so the core loop is Marking Shot, buffs, full-charge Deadshot. game8 levels Tempest Shot first, then Snipe and Deadshot; other guides start with Snipe, and either works because all three are pressed constantly. Snipe's specialization takes time off Deadshot on every hit, so it is more than filler. Before a boss, stack Vaizel's Authority (+20% Attack) and Bow of Blessing, then Marking Shot into Deadshot. The four stigmas top players register most are Vaizel's Authority, Bow of Blessing, Supporting Fire and Griffon Arrow. In PvP, swap in Arrow Storm and Explosive Arrow. Keep about 20 meters from melee, then plan your Ranger board in the Daevanion planner.
  • Main nuke: Deadshot (20 s cooldown), +35% with Precision
  • Skill points: Tempest Shot → Snipe → Deadshot
  • Stigmas: Vaizel's Authority, Bow of Blessing, Supporting Fire, Griffon Arrow
  • Specialization slots open at skill levels 8, 12 and 20

Specialization slots

Each active skill opens a specialization slot at skill levels 8, 12 and 20, so you can equip up to three. Skill level 16 adds a fifth option to pick from, not a new slot. Skill points reset for free, so experiment.

Daevanion skill nodes

Board nodes and Arcana raise skill levels too; stigmas are levelled with Stigma Shards instead. The planner below opens with our Ranger PvE layout loaded, so you can see which skill nodes it takes.

PvE vs PvP

PvE

  • ◆Never fire Deadshot without Precision; that is a 35% loss on your biggest hit.
  • ◆Bind Deadshot to its own key so a macro never delays it.
  • ◆Stay near 20 meters: most Ranger deaths start with drifting into melee.
  • ◆Stats: Attack and Critical Hit, then Combat Speed.

PvP

  • ◆Arrow Storm stuns up to four players and Explosive Arrow fires while you move.
  • ◆Snare Shot then Burst Arrow is your kite combo: slow first, punish second.
  • ◆Drill Dart's healing cut is useful on healers and self-healing bruisers.
  • ◆Drop Explosion Trap under your feet before a melee class lands on you.

Common skill mistakes

  1. 01

Firing Deadshot half-charged or without Precision.

  2. 02

Using Snare Shot and the trap on cooldown instead of saving them to set up Burst Arrow or to escape.

  3. 03

Wasting Stamina on dodges you don't need.

  4. 04

Running a fifth PvE stigma from a KR/TW guide; global has four slots.
