What is the best Templar skill priority and rotation in Aion 2?

A Templar's rotation is about threat first and damage second. Put skill points into Pummel first: it is both your main damage and your main enmity tool. Then level Judgment, which hits stunned or knocked-down targets, and Punishment, a three-stage charge that grants Execution (more Accuracy and damage) for 10 seconds. game8 continues with Annihilate, Debilitating Smash and Warding Strike. Open every pull with Taunt, drop Battlefield Banner, charge in with Doom Shield and follow with Judgment, then fully charge Punishment. The stigmas top players register most are Taunt, Empyrean Lord's Punishment, Battlefield Banner and Doom Shield. Keep Nezekan's Shield in mind as the strongest party save. In PvP, swap in Noble Armor and Grapple. Then open the Templar Daevanion planner to match your board's skill nodes to this order.

Specialization slots

Each active skill opens a specialization slot at skill levels 8, 12 and 20, so you can equip up to three. Skill level 16 adds a fifth option to pick from, not a new slot. Skill points reset for free, so experiment.

Daevanion skill nodes

Board nodes and Arcana raise skill levels too; stigmas are levelled with Stigma Shards instead. The planner below opens with our Templar PvE layout loaded, so you can see which skill nodes it takes.

Nezekan's Shield is the pick when your group keeps dying to raid-wide hits. Slots open at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37. Shards, costs and every class side by side: Aion 2 stigma guide.

PvE vs PvP

PvE

  • ◆Open every pull yourself so enmity lands on you before the damage dealers start.
  • ◆Turn bosses away from the party; frontal cleaves are your problem, not theirs.
  • ◆Keep Debilitating Smash up on bosses: −25% Defense is a party-wide damage boost.
  • ◆Use Poach on adds that run toward your healer.

PvP

  • ◆Taunt works on players with a 50% chance: it forces them onto you and shrinks their Accuracy and Attack.
  • ◆Grapple pulls up to four players together for your team's AoE.
  • ◆Noble Armor's heal can't be dispelled, so it survives buff strips.
  • ◆Templar damage is the lowest of the eight; your value is peel and control, not kills.

Common skill mistakes

  1. 01

Letting a damage dealer open the pull and then chasing threat.

  2. 02

Pressing Judgment without a stun or knockdown on the target.

  3. 03

Firing Punishment half-charged; the full charge is what grants Execution.

  4. 04

Skipping Debilitating Smash because it looks like a small hit.
