Which Daevanion nodes should I take first in Aion 2?

Path to the orange corner nodes that match your role first, take the blue and green skill nodes for your main rotation on the way, and fill grey stats last. Keep your Battle Crystals for the PvP board, Azphel, until you actually PvP.

Every Daevanion node must touch an active one, so your first decision is the route, not the single node. Head for the orange corners that fit your role: Cooldown Reduction and Combat Speed on Nezekan, Damage Boost on Zikel, Critical Damage Boost on Vaizel and Multi-Hit Chance on Triniel for damage dealers. Pick up the skill nodes that lie on the way, starting with the skills you press most. Grey stat nodes are filler, so take them last along the shortest path. Do not finish a board before moving to the next one, and do not spend Battle Crystals on Azphel unless you PvP regularly. Support and tank classes lean on survivability nodes earlier. Each class has a PvE and a PvP preset in our planner that you can load and adjust to your crystal count.
  • Orange corners cost 4 and carry the biggest % stats
  • Costs: 1 grey stat, 2 passive skill, 3 active skill, 4 orange
  • Maxing all four general boards costs 570 crystals
  • Azphel (PvP, level 45) uses separate Battle Crystals

The order to unlock things in

  1. Unlock boards as your level allows. On the global client that is Nezekan at level 12, Zikel at 20, Vaizel at 30, Triniel at 40 and the PvP board Azphel at 45. You can't take nodes from a board you haven't unlocked, so early crystals go to Nezekan.
  2. Route to the orange corners that match your role. Each costs 4, but they hold the big percentage bonuses (Combat Speed, Cooldown Reduction, Damage Boost, Critical Damage Boost, Multi-Hit Chance). Damage dealers want the offensive ones; tanks and healers add Damage Tolerance and survivability corners sooner.
  3. Collect skill nodes on the way. Blue nodes (3 crystals) add a level to an active skill and green nodes (2) to a passive. Take the ones for the skills in your main rotation before the rest. The class pages list the exact skill order.
  4. Fill grey stats last, along the shortest route. Grey nodes cost 1 each. They are cheap filler, and there is no reason to clear a whole board before moving on to the next.
  5. Save Battle Crystals for Azphel. It is the PvP board, with PvP Damage Boost and PvP Damage Tolerance corners. Skip it until you PvP regularly.

Why the route matters more than the node

Gaps between nodes form corridors, so an orange corner can sit behind several grey nodes. Always count the crystals on the whole path, not just the cost of the corner. The planner shows this for you.

What to take first, class by class

The focus below comes from the class build data on aion2atlas.app, and every class has a PvE and a PvP preset in the planner (both sized at 200 crystals; PvP adds 60 Battle Crystals for Azphel). Skill orders are our editorial reading of game8 and Inven, not parsed from your game, so check them against your own skill list.

Not sure which class to commit crystals to? Boards can be reset, but resetting costs time and resources, so check the tier list and the class comparison before you spend. The Sorcerer is the most-read example: see the Sorcerer Daevanion board.

Common mistakes

  • Chasing a corner without counting the path. A 4-crystal corner can cost far more once you add the grey nodes in front of it.
  • Clearing a whole board before moving on. A full 11×11 board costs 134 crystals and Triniel costs 168. Higher boards often offer better corners for the same crystals.
  • Spending Battle Crystals too early. Azphel only pays off if you play PvP.
  • Copying a KR/TW layout. Korea and Taiwan have extra boards (Ariel, Marchutan, Yustiel) and larger layouts. The global client uses the launch layout, so a KR/TW guide may not match your screen.
  • Ignoring your rotation. A skill node for a skill you rarely press is wasted crystals.

How to use our planner and optimizer

  1. Open the Daevanion board planner and choose your class.
  2. Load the PvE or PvP preset as a starting point, then drop it to the crystals you actually own.
  3. Switch to Optimizer, rank the stats you care about and press Auto-fill. It finds the best value per crystal for your budget.
  4. Mark must-have nodes with a star and press Cheapest path to connect them for the fewest crystals.
  5. Copy the share link so you can compare the plan with your guild or re-open it after a patch.

Pair it with your build

The Daevanion focus on each build page matches the skills and gear in that build, so read them together.

Frequently asked questions

Which Daevanion nodes should I take first in Aion 2?+

Go for the orange corner nodes that fit your role, pick up the skill nodes for your main rotation on the way, and take grey stats last. The route matters more than any single node.

Should I finish one Daevanion board before the next?+

No. Take the corners and skills you want, then move on as boards unlock. Filling every grey node on Nezekan first is rarely the best use of crystals.

How many crystals does it take to max the boards?+

On the global client an 11×11 board costs 134 Daevanion Crystals and Triniel costs 168, so maxing all four general boards costs 570. Azphel costs 232 Battle Crystals.

Are Daevanion nodes different for each class?+

Board names, sizes and node counts are the same, but the skill nodes and their positions are class-specific. That is why each class has its own page.

Do I need Azphel, the PvP board?+

Only if you PvP regularly. It unlocks at level 45 and uses Battle Crystals, which are separate from Daevanion Crystals.

Can I reset a Daevanion board if I take the wrong nodes?+

Yes, boards and skill levels can be reset, though it costs time and resources. Plan in the planner first.

Do Korean or Taiwanese Daevanion guides apply to global?+

Partly. KR/TW have extra boards and larger layouts, so use them for ideas, not for exact paths. Our planner shows the global layout.
