What is the fastest way to level in Aion 2?

Follow the main Episode Quests from 1 to the level 45 cap, wear every quest reward, and use each system the moment it unlocks. Spend skill points in your class's leveling order, and don't worry about mistakes, since they reset for free.

The level cap on global servers is 45, and the fastest route is the main Episode Quest chain. It runs from your starter zone (Poeta for Elyos, Ishalgen for Asmodians) into Verteron or Altgard and on to the cap, and it hands out most of the gear you need. Pull packs your class handles well, and put your first skill points into your class's leveling order, then your big burst skill at level 14. Open each Daevanion board as it unlocks: Nezekan at 12, Zikel at 20, Vaizel at 30 and Triniel at 40. Stigma slots open at 22, 27, 32 and 37. Turn in Wisdom Stones from story quests for extra skill points. Skill points reset for free, so a wrong pick costs nothing. We have no measured hours-to-45 figure, so treat pace as guide advice, not a promise.
  • Level cap on global servers: 45

  • Skill points reset for free

The fastest route, step by step

Unlock levels come from global client data (MetaBot) and agree with game8. Nobody has published a measured, verified time to 45, so this is the order that wastes the least effort, not a stopwatch run.

  1. Pick a class you will enjoy pulling packs with. Not sure? The 60-second class quiz and our best class for beginners ranking help. Faction can't be changed later.
  2. Levels 1–11: story only. Finish the starter zone, equip every quest reward and learn your first skills. Your class build page lists exactly which skills to raise first.
  3. Level 12: open Nezekan. Spend your first Daevanion points right away. Plan them in the Daevanion board planner.
  4. Level 14: take your big burst skill. Every class gets one at 14 (Ruinous Blow, Hellfire, Punishment, Spinning Strike and so on). Put skill points into it straight away.
  5. Level 16: bind Defiance. All classes get it, and it breaks crowd control.
  6. Level 20: Zikel board. Then at 22 set your first stigma, and add more at 27, 32 and 37.
  7. Level 30 and 40: Vaizel, then Triniel. Keep following the Episode Quests; the story zones send you to the next area at the right level.
  8. Pick up what is on your route. Hidden cubes and Empyrean Traces give permanent stats and skill points; turn on those layers on the interactive map. Hand in Wisdom Stones from story quests for extra skill points.
  9. Join a Spacetime Rift when one lines up with your session (see the rift timer) instead of waiting for one.
  10. At 45, respec to your endgame build and start on Arcana. See the endgame section below.

Mistakes are free

Skill points can be reset for free, so don't stall deciding on the perfect order. Pick the class leveling order, play, and adjust later.

Leveling build for every class

Each class has its own 1 to 45 page with skill points per level band, board and stigma timing, a rotation and gear. These are the skills it puts first.

The skill orders are guide advice from game8 and Gamerblurb, not a tested optimum, and the sources sometimes disagree. We have not verified them in game. For class strengths see the tier list and the class overview.

Leveling mistakes that cost time

  • Skipping quest gear. The Episode Quests hand out most of your gear. Equip it and don't farm for upgrades yet.
  • Leaving Daevanion points unspent. Each board is free power the moment it opens. Spend them.
  • Forgetting your level 14 skill. It is your strongest burst, so raise it as soon as it unlocks.
  • Pulling more than your class can handle. Squishier classes like Assassin should pull smaller groups; AoE classes like Gladiator can take whole packs.
  • Ignoring stigmas at 22. Slots open at 22, 27, 32 and 37; fill each one.
  • Treating skill points as permanent. They reset for free, so don't waste a session worrying about it.
  • Rushing past what is on your route. Cubes, Empyrean Traces and Wisdom Stones all pay back skill points or stats.

When to switch from leveling to your endgame build

Switch at the level 45 cap. Leveling builds favor fast kills and survival while you quest; endgame builds favor boss damage, Arcana and the Azphel board, which opens at 45. Respec your skill points then, since resets are free. Open your class page for the full setup via class builds or the Daevanion board planner, and read the first week guide for what to do after the cap.
